Outlier Mat Minute: Outside Camping - Far Leg
When we’re outside camping, the guard player’s far leg can do two main things:
Connect to our Lead Side (Scissor Guard): This sets us up for the cross scoop grip that we can use to pass the guard.
Connect to our Trail Side (Lasso): To pass from a lasso, we can switch sides or keep going to the same side.
Turn away: If we can expose the outside of the guard player’s near leg, we can force them to turn away to prevent the high leg or lasso all together.
