HQ Passing (Legs)
Words I Like - “Split, smash, extension, and retraction. Impose these on your opponent to compromise their structure.”
Outlier Mat Minute: HQ Passing (Legs)
When playing HQ, the guard player generally wants their knee in the center of our chest so they can efficiently carry our weight. We want to compromise this posture. Here are some ways to go about it:
Split Legs: We can get our body in between their knees. This often results in a body lock passing situation.
Smash Legs: We can push their knees together so they now carry weight on the outside of their leg.
Extension: If they extend their leg, we can try to step over their knee.
Retraction: As they bring their knee to their chest, this gives us the ability to create angle.
These are the 4 major directions we can move the guard player’s leg. Often, as they are trying to resist one, it will lead to the other.

Clever to make these so short! I read it as soon as I see it in my inbox
