Outlier Mat Minute: Elbow Prop from Half Guard
Using your elbow as base can help you win the grip fight from half guard. Here are a few ways to use it:
Near Arm Cross Grip – Drop from your elbow to your shoulder as you take a cross grip on their near arm. This sets up a strong 2-on-1.
Watch it here →Far Arm Cross Grip – While still on your elbow, take a cross grip on their far arm. This makes it harder for them to crossface you and opens up a reliable path into their legs.
