Outlier Mat Minute: Cut Back
The cut back is an excellent way to finish a single leg takedown, manage your opponent’s body weight, or switch to a double leg takedown.

When you're on your knees with a single leg, your opponent’s weight can feel overwhelming. Use the cut back to off-balance them and create an opportunity to stand up.

P.S. A cut back doesn’t have to result in a takedown to be successful. Simply off-balancing your opponent is a win. Adopting this mindset for all techniques has made a huge difference in my training!
